A public procurement process has been carried out by the SHK. The contract to conduct the photogrammetry has been awarded to the Swedish company Ocean Discover AB with its Danish subcontractor JD-Contractor A/S. The vessel used for the operation is the Norwegian survey vessel Polarxplorer.
The aim of the photogrammetry is to document the wreck of Estonia photographically and compile, by using photogrammetry, a 3D-model of the wreck.
The data obtained in the June survey will require processing that is planned to take a few months. We expect to publish the results of the photogrammetry in September.
